Greyscale Value paintings

Students created these value paintings in watercolor according to a great lesson plan I purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers.  I can't find the name of the author, but I'll try to post it later.  This lesson incorporated grid enlargement, composition, value and watercolor techniques.

Tamara Phillips inspired artwork complete!

Students began by practicing mixing colors and creating "bubbles" in the style of Tamara Phillips. Next they chose a photo to use as inspiration to create a painting in this style.  It was a challenging project and they did a beautiful job!
